REBUILT COMPONENTS

All components are remanufactured to equal or exceed factory specifications. All components are restored to show quality appearance. The restoration processes described below constitute a "Standard Rebuild". Additional machine shop procedures and/or new parts are available for additional cost.

EVERY COMPONENT REBUILT BY US IS BENCH TESTED ON OUR CUSTOM BUILT TEST STAND. WE TEST FOR FLOW, FUNCTION AND LEAKAGE.

PARTS PREPARATION

IMPROPERLY FINISHED PARTS WILL RESULT IN AN INFERIOR APPEARANCE!

A complete and thorough restoration involves the proper preparation of the parts to be restored. Whether painted or plated, each piece must go through several steps to be finished right.

For all painted surfaces, each part is degreased, beadblasted, treated with metal prep, sprayed with a special sealant, primed, then painted with two finish coats. Some natural-appearing parts are actually painted.

For all plated surfaces, each part is degreased, beadblasted, treated in an acid bath, then plated with the correct finish.

All pumps are disassembled and examined for excessive wear. The cam ring is remachined to a smooth finish. The rotor slots are polished to allow for a smooth fit. New vanes are installed in the rotor. (NEW cam rings will soon be available, making almost any pump restorable.) The base is beadblasted to bare metal and painted a cast iron color. The 1955–1959 reservoirs are hand finished to remove any imperfections and are painted semi-gloss black. The cap/dipstick is plated for OEM appearance. New seals are installed during assembly. All pumps are tested for correct function and leakage. Bleeding instructions are packaged with each pump. The 1961–1964 reservoirs are NEW reservoirs.
